Hydrogen energy, with its clean, efficient, renewable and other multiple advantages, is gradually showing its head on the global energy stage, and is also regarded as one of the important directions of future energy transformation.
In the hydrogen energy industry chain of hydrogen production, storage and transportation, filling and applications, proton exchange membrane (PEM) plays a vital role as a key component. PEM is a dense ion selective membrane that works by transferring only hydrogen protons at a certain temperature and humidity, while gas molecules and other ions cannot pass through. It can be widely used in the fields of fuel cells and water electrolysis.
· Hydrogen fuel cells
· Water electrolysis
Fuel Cell:
With the advantages of high energy density, environmental protection and pollution-free, high driving range and fast filling speed, hydrogen fuel cells can meet the requirements of more diversified applications, such as heavy trucks, UAVs, ships and even aerospace aircraft.
Riebom has created Hydpound™ RH106&RH110 enhanced perfluorinated PEM and RHNF135 non-perfluorinated PEM. Our PEMs have following advantages:
· Wide temperature range: the operating temperature of 60℃~80℃ and 120℃ above the fuel cell can be applied
· High performance: ultra-thin thickness which the thinest PEM is 6μm with excellent electrochemical properties and physical properties
· Long life: greatly increase product life through new anti-attenuation technology
RHNF135 is for 120℃ high temperature fuel cell
Water Electrolysis:
Proton exchange membrane water electrolysis has the advantages of fast hydrogen production rate, high hydrogen purity and small footprint, and is currently regarded as an industrial hydrogen production method with close to zero carbon emissions. Hydpound™ RH280 Proton Exchange membrane is designed to cope with the harsh working environment in water electrolyzer. Our PEM has the following advantages:
· RH280 is an enhanced PEM, which also adopts the sandwich structure of "resin-reinforcemant-resin" to cope with the high-pressure working environment in the electrolyzers
· RH280 PEM is thin, with high proton conductivity and low leakage
· The swelling rate of RH280 is low, and it does not deform when soaked in water for a long time
